As imitating Popsicles (Ice Candy) Shop
In Milan, we did a workshop with Design Studios, “Studio Gisto”, “AUT” and “Careof”. We designed and created popsicles called “Sticky” which is a series of popsicles that make people struggle and sticky while eating it. The design of the popsicle either makes people have to share with a friend or makes people think and struggle how to eat them.

Hand-crafting_design 1
As Milan is a new place for us and there is no material in the class, we need to go out and find materials that could use as moulding for popsicles. From a party shop, we found ping pong balls, cray and balsa wood for moulding popsicles and soft drinks, and fruits for the ingredients from a supermarket.

Design 1 is a popsicle which has a long stick and has 2 ice cubes on each side of the stick. Therefore, the popsicle makes people have to share with friend as it will melt as you eat.

Design 2 is a popsicle which has a stick hidden inside the ice and has 3 poles in the ice along the stick, so people need to hold the popsicle using these 3 holes. Your hand will be sticky after you finish eating.
