In “Inside Water”, I created a loneliness and peaceful atmosphere of inside water using a custom-made lamp. When I am thinking about “inside water”, I put myself into the image of the sea or deep swimming pool but also inside the womb. Along with these, I made my imaginary space, which is filled with water, where no sense of direction. With the feeling of no one existing except myself and could only hear my heartbeats. No sense of warmth or coldness but just feeling comfortable temperature and dim light surrounding my body. From this, I created image sequences expressing a mysterious journey of exploring the room of “Inside Water”. I expressed the passage of time as a viewer slowly going deep inside the water and getting dark. The journey starts with finding the room in bright light and ends with almost blackness in the deep water.
